The 34~year-oId Army veteran was a truck driver and lived in Phi1adelphia before enlisting in 1953. He had served in combat in Korea. The sergeant first class, a platoon sergeant, was on his second tour of duty in Vietnam when he was killed on April 29, 1969. He had been assigned to Company A of the 1st Battalion, 8th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Survivors include a daughter and brother. January 8, 1935- April 29, 1969
