Kulicke enjoyed sailboat racing and sailing on his family's 41-foot sailboat. One of his biggest thrills came in 1964 when the Constellation. of which he was a crew member, won the America's Cup in four consecutive races. He graduated from William Penn Charter School and Union College in Schenectady, N.Y. He was a project engineer at his father's company, Kulicke & Soffa Industries, in Fort Washington, before entering the Army in March 1968. The 25-year-old second lieutenant, an assistant operations officer, died in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam, on Feb. 22, 1969. He was survived by his parents and a brother.
