Danowski, 21, left Abraham Lincoln High School in 1961 and entered the Army in September 1965. The private first class was a canoneer with Battery B of the 1st Battalion, 5th Artillery, in Vietnam, dying on Feb. 27, 1966, He was survived by his parents and a brother.
