Clough graduated from the Oxford Academy in New Jersey in 1967 and entered the Army the following April. He initially was an enlisted man, but attended Officer Candidate School in early 1969 and became an officer. He was sent to Vietnam in August 1959 and assigned as a platoon leader in Company B of the 3rd Battalion, 506th Infantry, and 101st Airborne Division. Clough, 22, died on April 26, 1970. Survivors include his wife.
